St James' church and the New Brighton Heritage Centre had a combined presence at the Big History Show, held at St George's Hall in Liverpool over the weekend of 29/30 April.  The stand displayed the history of the church and of New Brighton (which are inter-linked), as well as selling church history and guide books and our new St James' curvy purple pens.  The stand was visited by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Roz Gladdon (on the right of our picture).

This was the second history fair at which St James' has had a presence recently.  In March we had a stand at the Wirral Heritage Fair in Birkenhead Town Hall, which also received a Mayoral visit - on that occasion the Mayor of Wirral paid a lengthy visit to our stand.

It is hoped that this raising of the church's profile will encourage many visitors to come and enjoy the architecture, art and history of St James' church.
